Topic 1:
WAM – gone

Warsong Axement no long desires to be a member of the Dreadhorde, second hand accounts state their reasoning as being "Not wanting to be associated with the weak dreadhorde"
I can not verify this, but it would not surprise me.

Topic 2:
Communication is lax, How can we fix this. Actually using the forums has been suggested. Since the Dreahdorde forums moderators have mostly disappeared, again the suggestion was made to move to theventureco.org , where myself, other member of suncrown, members of keepers of stromguarde, midnight reveries, and seelund trading company all have moderators present to ensure a good RP community without grieving.

Members of the dreadhorde have their various opinions that the dreadhorde does not do enough together.

Topic 4: Black Tooth Grin out....

About this time,a respectful individual informed those present, the the Black Tooth Grin would no longer be participating in Dreadhorde events, and in fact had been ordered not to participate in dreadhorde activities any longer, and he was disobeying orders by being present, but thought we deserved not to be dragged on and ignored. This obviously upset many people, as it is the black tooth grin who formed the dreadhored in BC, re birthed it in Wotlk, and even the ones whom created these dreadhorde forums. My comments too follow.

Topic 5:

With the death of the dread horde, would something new rise from its ashes? If so what will we call it? What will be it's purpose? Many proposed that if such a thing were to pass, all guilds must contribute. My comments to follow.

Topic 6: No trash talk on guilds

Of any guild, especially on the realm forums, bring vco back to the honor it used to hold.

Topic 7: Battle of southshore - should it be discussed on the public realm forums? this is an event between SOL and Keepers so is up to them, but it was discussed.

Topic 8: Around the fire

THC will be hosting another around the fire story telling event and you are all invited. I forget the exact details, Nyim please help

With the discussion of guilds contributing more to the new coalition of guilds, two guilds brought up concerns on their guilds lack of commitment to previous dreadhorde events, and how often they were the only Representatives to the events

My Comments:

Topic 1: I too agree with them that the dreadhorde has grown weak and has not been what it once was. The original concept of the dreadhorde was as a combination of RP guilds to assist each other in PVP. Several weeks ago, at a meeting, a dreadhorde guild talked how they were RP /PVE only, Pyschostorm scratched his head at this as he thought all guilds in DH were RP guilds that ALSO PVP'd. That is the way it was envisoned, and the way things were supposed to be, but somehow that changed.To many guilds not wanting to do what the Dreadhorde was inteded to do, has led to it crumble and the loss of respect from some peers.

This forum was a good start, but it never grew to popularity, maybe because it wasnt as easy on the eyes on some other forums, but i think mostly because lack of moderation and it took to long for interested members to activiate there accounts. will the ventureco.org forums be better? I hope so, they already have tons of respected Alliance players and much more moderation and use then these forums have seen. They can be a great tool if used well enough.

Topic 3: Not enough united activities

many guild are deciding to work guild to guild now, and chose not to display their events on the public forums for fear of griefing. safest places to plan events without prying eyes are between the two guilds directly, or on the private sections of theventureco.org website.

Topic 4: Black Tooth Grin out....

I'm on the fence about this, it does anger me greatly, and make me think of the person responsible for such behaviour as cowardly and undeserving of any respect from me. Which is sad, because I used to respect him more then almost anyone else on this server. It reminds me of a calous mother throwing their infant child to the wolves with nothing more then a kitchen knife and buckler for protection and then walking away, uncaringly. That's a romanticized opinion for sure. At the same time, as above, the dreadhorde has not been what they imagined it to be, we've become the adolscent unruly toddler that complains all too much and dosn't do what they are told. VCO if for Fite, if you were in the dreadhorde and not prone on PVP... it should have been considered a sin.

Is a coalition needed? Does it need a name? Do we really want to impost on other guilds on a regular schedule with the coming expansion. Many guilds are dropping to a ten man raid rotations, many guild will be picking up rated bg activitiy, and have even less time then, than they do now for allied activities. the requirements of having guilds host an even ever week or every month seemed rather forced to me, the dread horde is not my guild, I like the people here, I'm good friends with alot of the people here, but I'm better friends and spend more time with my guild. Having an event every month, lessons the importance and greatly reduces the planning time for any campaign, we were talking for months and months before the Fall of Legengs and Shadows over Khaz Modan events actually took place in game.

Topic 6: No trash talk on guilds

this is a given, let VCO be the nobel realm it once was, actions speak louder then words, and I have seen people that complain about illusioned griefing enough that I'd call that more distracting and dentrimental to the fun i have in this game. Real griefing of course has occured, but VCO, you guys have been drama queening it toooo much this past expansion. With cataclyzm, give EVERYONE a fresh start, as we all start on equal footing again.

With the new gathering of guilds, if such a thing does come to pass. Who would lead it, and what would be the standard?

I <3 Psycho , but he's been the only members of HBS i've seen on in ages, I <3 Satachi but again, he's been the only members I've seen on for Ebon Wolf in ages,

Kaltuk and I both respectivully have seen little interest from our guilds in dreadhorde events despite our urging.....

does this make us less of contributors, less worthy of being in such a group? It depens on how we define it.

Hillsbrad Security - Pyscho has always respected us
Crusader of Thalas - their guild leader is a member of suncrown, of course we like them
Shadows of Lorderon - they have high ranking members also members of suncrown so we like them too
AT - AT has long long long been our sister guild.

Keepers of stromguarde - Again, their guild leader is also in our guild
Midnight Reveries - we have some ex MR people in our guild and good relations there
Seelund tradin co - Again, good guild relations there.

And any other I may have missed, my apologies, these just happen to be the guilds I myself deal with on a semi regular basis

But is it really needed to define our alliances? Does it need a name a purpose, honestly, if we all just had one general chat channel, all our guilds joined, and calls to help came when needed that would be good enough for me. No need for extra activities mandated by an orginisation, we all have that in out guilds already and it makes WoW more like a Job and less fun imo.

In closing, I do not know what the future brings, but suncrown has always been proud to call you all friends and will be by your side in the future no matter the circumstances.

let me start by saying that I could not attend Sundays meeting due to my monitor giving out on me and I had every intention of being there.

I will admit that the Dreadhorde has been "diminished" as of late.

I believe there are several reasons for this. One being that we no longer have a leader. This of course was handled by Gorfrunch with Dreadhorde admissions and admin being handled by Mido. I also believe the second reason is many people have lost interest in the game and have stopped playing till Cata.

Let me also state that the reason you have not seen anyone from HBS in a long time is because I am not recruiting, at all. I see no reason to build the guild up until Cata is released. I wish to fill HBS with quality people that love to world pvp and not just casual players who are just hanging around waiting for the expansion.

I believe that being a member of the Dreadhorde is not a responsibility, but an honor. Any guild that leaves the Dreadhorde because "its not cool enough" for them is missing the big picture.

The best course of action for the Dreadhorde from now till Cata is to be proud of who we are and show respect for the long standing traditions of the Dreadhorde.
Stay focused on your own guilds activities and continue with the monthly meetings.
I suggest we pick a day, like the first specific day of the week of each month to have these meetings. We may not draw a large crowd, but I ask that we stick it out and remain committed to honoring this tradition.

Once Cata comes out, our first order of business should be to elect a new leader of the Dreadhorde and a second in command. I of course suggest Mido as the new commander of the Dreadhorde given she is the most experienced and has the most seniority. I would also give consideration to Nyimsava and Analeia as well.
its been "rumored" for some time now that I was the commander of the Dreadhorde" due to my popularity. This of course is not true If I did not have considerable RL obligations right now, I would consider throwing my hat into the ring.

In closing I would like to say that being a member of the dreadhorde is an honor and should be treated as such. Tradition, Honor, and Respect are some of the finest virtues in life. Lets keep these standards in the Dreadhorde and in our hearts.

If we put it to vote, I doubt mido (being in btg) is interested, Nyim i can see, and also Visadaria from Dark Clan since she always seems to be the one starting thing when no one else was

I have work here so I can't write a big post, but anyway, I suppose my PoV is that either the Dreadhorde takes a break until Cata drops, or we hit martial law and make ourselves the fighting force in WPVP that we once were. Although, what we once were couldn't handle the challenges we have now.

All in all, times have changed.
WPVP on VeCo has changed.
We're a group of RP PVPers on a strong PVP server now. Either we step up to the plate and make our guilds pvp a higher priority, or we back down and do sandbox scheduled events with KoS/MR/KoD and hope we don't get griefed.

For what it is worth...

I have not been in-game for sometime now, so I am not privy to all details.

Before I had to take a break due to RL circumstances, I truly tried to get Dreadhorde going again. I was pushing for events, and pushing for coordination.

Here is the fact... Most of the DH guilds have seen a decrease in activity due to 'pre-expansion' downtime. I am not surprised by this.

It got to the point where we would have barely any DH show up to events, and getting people to post on this forum was like pulling teeth. We had better coordination with specific DH guilds, rather than going to the DH as a whole.

I intend to be back in-game in early October. I have made a lot of friends in DH, and I hope to revitalize those relations. WAM still considers itself close to multiple guilds in DH. Again, when I am back, I also intend to organize RP events with several guilds.

I wish you all the best. Unfortunately these times before an expansion can be very stressful on guilds and the server. I hope with the launch fo Cataclysm, that VeCo, DH, and other guilds get back to their former glory. With the increased activity and people coming back? I'm sure they will.

That being said, I wish you all the best of luck. I am again, not privy to any details due to my current leave from WoW. I am only speaking for myself, and about my goals when I come back. I look forward to fighting alongside all of your top notch guilds come Cataclysm. You are all truly respectable people, and DH deserves to continue on. At the very least, the guilds that have been part of DH have established ties which go beyond a common name, and those alliances will hold strong for the years to come.

I've really hated these forums since they implemented the AD driven guest responses that don't even work properly anyway, it'll be nice to see all the returning faces with cataclysm I am sure.
