I created this event earlier in the month via in-game calendar and hope everyone was able to spread the info among their guildmates. Here's some additional info about how we're gonna run it so everyone knows what to expect.
This will be a Guild vs Guild 'King of the Hill' style battle. All match ups will be 1 round to keep the pace up and teams will match numbers for each fight to keep things even as possible.
I believe we set it for 6pmST at Gurubashi arena. Event will start right after the chest spawn is over.
Each guild attending must be in a party/raid of their own. It's also suggested that each guild be in their own vent and /leave worlddefense or any other channels that might spam up your log too much. Since we'll all need to be in our own raids we'll coordinate the event by /yells mainly, so look sharp for instruction once we arrive on site.
It doesn't matter how many people you bring from your guild. Minimum team size is 2 and there is no max. The larger teams will be shedding numbers to match size with smaller teams. So the more people you bring, the more options you will have for team comps, rotating out people that blew big CD's, or stacking your best geared dudes BUT you will need to be quick about figuring out who's in the match and who's on the bench for any given fight.
At the start of the event, we'll put all the teams in order from largest attendance to smallest just to establish an order in which teams will fight. Starting after the first round, the winners will stay in the ring to face the next team. In between rounds the larger team will trim down to match the smaller one they face.
NOTE: you must always field as many players as possible; only the guild with more people in attendance will have to bench players for any given fight.
Might sounds confusing as I type this, but I think it will be fast pace and I'll be sure to keep a running list of all team sizes and what the next match up will be. So watch for my /yells to know who is fighting next and what the team numbers for the fight will be.
The only rule is 'when you die, stay dead' unless you get a battle res from an active team mate that is still alive IN THE RING (not a guildy on the bench : ) Any manner of buffs, pots, etc are fair game. World pvp style.
To conclude the event we'll throw all our raid groups into the ring for one massive FFA which will totally rock and be totally unfair.
Should be a good time as long as we get at least a few guilds with at least a few people on their teams. Don't worry if you don't have huge numbers, we're matching up for fair fights. So I hope to see some 10v10 fights, but any 2v2's are still gonna be cool as hell!
Sorry I didn't post something like this sooner : P
See you there!
